A major international event is coming to the former home of Bristol’s Debenhams in Broadmead<\/a> this month.<\/p>\n Secret Walls<\/a> is returning to the UK and coming to Bristol for one night only on Saturday, June 7, and will be hosting its iconic massive live paint battle at Shredenhams, Bristol’s newest skatepark, cafe and bar in the former home of Debenhams on The Horsefair.<\/p>\n Tickets are free, but according to the official event page, tickets don’t guarantee entry.<\/a><\/p>\n This will be on a first come, first serve basis, so those interested in attending this event are urged to show up early to avoid missing out.<\/p>\n Secret Walls, described as the world’s premier competitive live art event<\/a> and ‘the battleground where artists of all kinds come to test their skills and show off their style’ has been putting on live art events and battles for almost 20 years, starting in the bars and warehouses of East London, before travelling to more than 100 cities in 50 countries and collaborating with some of the world’s most iconic brands.<\/p>\n Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n Recent battles have taken place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, to name but a few. And now it’s returning to the UK – and right here in our neck of the woods – for the ‘Art of Competition’ tour.<\/p>\n The Bristol evening will run from 7pm-10pm with the live paint battle lasting 90 minutes and will see two teams of some of the UK’s most talented artists create huge canvases of collaborative work live in front of an audience, who usually then decide who has created the best piece.<\/p>\n There’s ‘no sketches, no second chances, just raw expression’ according to the official event description, and artists work purely in black and white in order to create a monochrome masterpiece.<\/p>\n Some of the names on the line-up so far include Captain Kris, Eva Malley, Melo, and Upper Hand Art. But any artists who would like to be part of a battling team can simply go up to organisers on the night and say ‘hello’.<\/p>\n Secret Walls paint battle events usually also include live music<\/a> and some sort of mural that all attendees can add to throughout the evening.<\/p>\n The event has long been missed by Brits. Taking to the comments section on the official Instagram post this week, fans were quick to share their excitement.<\/p>\n One said: “Been waiting years for you to come back to the UK.” While a second wrote: “Please bring back Secret Walls to the UK for good.
