Four fire crews rushed to tackle a blaze at a ‘tall building’ in Birmingham city centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It broke out at a building near The Priory Queensway<\/a> and Exchange Square<\/a> shortly after midnight this morning, Tuesday, June 3.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Fire Service urged people to avoid the area during the incident.<\/p>\n

The fire service had left the scene by around 1.30am.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the fire service wrote on social media platform X at 1.07am: “We have four crews in attendance at The Priory Queensway, Birmingham<\/a>, where they have responded to a fire in a tall building.<\/p>\n

“Please avoid the area where possible.”<\/p>\n

Fire control confirmed to BirminghamLive that the blaze had been extinguished but was unable to specify exactly where it had broken out.<\/p>\n

It said: “Crews, along with a fire officer, were first called out at 12.16am.<\/p>\n

“This was a fire at a building near Exchange Square and Priory Queensway.<\/p>\n

“No casualties were reported.
