{"id":154489,"date":"2025-06-03T09:50:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-03T09:50:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/154489\/"},"modified":"2025-06-03T09:50:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-03T09:50:10","slug":"new-200-payment-coming-in-june-2025-with-three-key-reasons-you-could-qualify","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/154489\/","title":{"rendered":"New \u00a3200 payment coming in June 2025 with three key reasons you could qualify"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Birmingham&#8217;s Household Support Fund will be reopening later this month to distribute the next round of cash<\/p>\n<p>10:27, 03 Jun 2025Updated 10:30, 03 Jun 2025<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/0_cash_isa1.jpg\" alt=\"A person's hand holding a set of new UK bank notes fanned out\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Birmingham&#8217;s Household Support Fund will offer a new round of \u00a3200 payments to residents, with enquiries opening later this month<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A new \u00a3200 payment to help with the ongoing cost of living crisis is to be offered to residents in June 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Government extended the Household Support Fund with \u00a3742 million of cash shared among local authorities in England.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.birminghammail.co.uk\/\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Birmingham<\/a> City Council&#8217;s allocation, which has been delegated to Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) to distribute to local people in need of help, is to reopen for enquiries in late June.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">READ MORE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">BVSC assesses all the enquiries and contacts those who fit the criteria for a hardship grant payment of \u00a3200.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It says there are three main criteria. Firstly, you must be a Birmingham resident, and secondly, applicants must be able to demonstrate that their household is experiencing financial hardship, in particular with covering the costs of food and energy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Thirdly, your household must NOT have previously received a \u00a3200 grant payment in the last 12 months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Anyone asking for help may also be asked to provide proof of address and of any means-tested benefits they receive as part of the application.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The officials administering the fund pointed out there is no charge to apply and that text messages are not sent out asking people to provide bank details. If you&#8217;re asked to pay an upfront fee or click a link to input financial details, this will be a scam and should be reported to BVSC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">They also warned people against trying to cheat the system to get cash, saying: &#8220;The application system actively monitors submitted applications looking for signs of fraud and details of any attempts to make fraudulent applications and\/or fraudulently receive grant funding may be shared with <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.birminghammail.co.uk\/all-about\/west-midlands-police\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">West Midlands Police<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Receiving a grant from this fund will not impact on any other benefits you may be receiving or may be entitled to.
