Edinburgh Libraries invite everyone to take part in a photography competition celebrating gardening and the city\u2019s parks, gardens and green spaces.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Unearthed Edinburgh\u2019 theme recognises the enjoyment of being surrounded by nature and how these spaces can encourage creativity, resilience and connection.<\/p>\n

The photos may celebrate any green space in the city, from the Meadows to a window box. Entrants are invited to show how gardening, or gardens and green spaces, impact their lives, community and planet.<\/p>\n

Submit entries online on the\u00a0Edinburgh Collected<\/a> website\u00a0(www.edinburghcollected.org<\/a>) where it will become part of a community archive of Edinburgh memories. Explain in the accompanying description what makes the picture special (and remember to add the tag \u2018unearthed\u2019).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Entries will be judged on both their photographic merit and on the accompanying text.<\/p>\n

Terms and conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Closing date for entries is 31 July 2025.\u00a0Any entries submitted after this date will not be considered.
2. The photograph submitted must be your own original work. Images generated by Artificial Intelligence will not be considered.
3. You must agree to Edinburgh Collected terms and conditions<\/a>.
This includes gaining consent from any person, who features as the main subject of your photograph, to use their image.
4. The place featured must be within the City of Edinburgh Council boundary
5. Add the tag \u2018unearthed\u2019 to all competition entries
6. You may submit as many entries as you wish, but there will be only one winning entry per participant.<\/p>\n
