After six years of harbouring a grudge against Kerry Wyatt<\/a> (Laura Norton<\/a>), Emmerdale<\/a>\u2019s Tracy Metcalfe<\/a> (Amy Walsh<\/a>) decided to let bygones be bygones. <\/p>\n

Kerry, as viewers know, was inadvertently responsible <\/a>for the death of Amy\u2019s father Frank Clayton (Michael Praed), who died while trying to rescue his daughter during a fiery blaze. <\/p>\n

The fire in question was started accidentally <\/a>by Kerry and daughter Amy <\/a>(Natalie Ann Jamieson<\/a>) when they broke into the sweet factory to steal charity money in the hopes of paying off the latter\u2019s debt.<\/p>\n

Some electrical equipment damaged during the incident led to the factory catching fire. Tracy was trapped inside after arranging to meet with Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle), who she\u2019d been seeing at the time. <\/p>\n

Getting wind of the imminent danger his daughter faced, Frank swooped into action, bravely entering the factory and rescuing Tracy. However, he tragically died as the building exploded. <\/p>\n

Tracy knows of Kerry and Amy\u2019s role in Frank\u2019s death. Initially, she refused to forgive the two but overtime the animosity has settled \u2013 though she\u2019d made it clear on various occasions that they\u2019ll never be friends. <\/p>\n

During Friday\u2019s (April 11) edition of the ITV soap, however, Tracy ultimately decided to let go of her resentment towards Kerry.<\/p>\n

Tracy, as fans are aware, was stealing from<\/a> Eric Pollard<\/a> (Chris Chittell<\/a>) as she struggled to make ends meet. Eric found out what she was up to and sacked her<\/a>. <\/p>\n

However, the patriarch was soon given food for thought and, realising that it was desperation to provide for her daughter that led to her crime, he relented, giving her her job back.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, Kerry approached Tracy in the village and revealed that she had initially encouraged Eric to go to the police over the theft but ultimately realised just how much of hypocrite that made her. <\/p>\n

She recalled how it was the same desperation Tracy experienced that possessed her and Amy \u2013 who died in February this year \u2013 to rob the factory all those years ago. <\/p>\n

As discussion moved to Frank, Kerry stated that she regrets what happened every day of her life. Now understanding of the position Kerry was in at the time of the incident, Tracy was sympathetic and revealed that she needs to stop blaming her for Frank\u2019s demise. <\/p>\n

\u2018Can we just not do this again?\u2019, Tracy said, revealing that she \u2018gets\u2019 the desperation now. \u2018The lengths we\u2019ll go to for our kids. <\/p>\n

\u2018I just want to forget it all now and move on\u2019, she concluded. \u2018I think we both deserve that now, don\u2019t you?\u2019<\/p>\n

Kerry fought tears as Tracy broke down, with the two villagers sharing an emotional hug. <\/p>\n
