Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> has opened up on his health battles as he admitted that he previously talked himself into thinking he “was going to die”. The 76-year-old rocker is set to reunite with Black Sabbath<\/a> on July 5, in Birmingham, for the Back to the Beginning concert but shared that putting on a show comes with some worries.<\/p>\n

He told the Ozzy Speaks podcast on SiriusXM: \u201cAll I can say is I\u2019m giving 120 percent. If my God wants me to do the show, I\u2019ll do it.\u201d He added on his podcast about the mental toll of preparing to return to the stage: \u201cMy head\u2019s crazy. ADHD<\/a> \u2013 I have that badly. I will have done the show and died a death before I even started my exercises<\/a>. So I try and put it on the back burner. I\u2019m not going up there saying, \u2018It\u2019s going to be great. I\u2019m really confident.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Ozzy recalled a specific instance of intense fear before a previous show, saying: \u201cI remember being in f-ing Vegas<\/a> one time being in the dressing room going, \u2018I\u2019m going to play. I\u2019m going to die\u2019. And I talked myself into blowing the gig. It was only two f-ing songs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Referring to his wife, Sharon Osbourne, he added: \u201cSharon goes, \u2018Just don\u2019t think about it.\u2019 I obsess about a f-ing bird c******* on my show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adding a bit about how he prepares for his shows, Ozzy said: “I have got this trainer guy who helps people get back to normal. It\u2019s hard going, but he\u2019s convinced that he can pull it off for me.<\/p>\n

“I am having my blood pressure taken 15 times a day. I\u2019ve got this f****** device on my finger. It\u2019s a monitor to say how my heart rate is.”<\/p>\n

As well as having ADHD, Ozzy also suffers from Parkinson’s. Back in 2003, he was also involved in quad bike accident at his Buckinghamshire home, resulting in multiple spinal surgeries.<\/p>\n

A fall in 2019 displaced metal rods inserted into his back from the crash, which he said has caused more complications than Parkinson\u2019s itself.
