(WYMT) &#8211; A man was arrested in Laurel County for reckless driving and fleeing the police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the Laurel County Sheriff\u2019s Office Lyle Hammons, 33, of London was arrested on May 31st on Hal Rogers Parkway near the intersection of US 25 in London.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Officers said Hammons vehicle was being driven with no lights while in the dark and was driving in-and-out of traffic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hammons reportedly did not stop when police tried to pull him over. Officers said he almost hit a police cruiser.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He was taken into custody, arrested, and charged with wanton endangerment, disregarding a traffic control device \u2013 traffic light, no headlamps, and fleeing or evading police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He was taken to the Laurel County correctional center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 WYMT.
