The long time Leader remains one of the toughest trainers you can face in Pok\u00e9mon GO. He uses a team of high-level CP Pok\u00e9mon, all of which are Shadow variants, making them extremely tough to beat. Before taking him on, you need to know the best team to counter his lineup.<\/p>\n<p>To be able to face Arlo this month, you need to first defeat six GO Rocket Grunts, like the <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/pokemon-go-how-to-beat-ke-ke-ke-ke-may-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ghost-type Ke Ke Ke Ke team<\/a>. He will continue to use seven different Pok\u00e9mon in each battle, but for the new month, he has <strong>four new Pok\u00e9mon in his lineup<\/strong>. Some of these he&#8217;s used before, while others are making their first appearances for the Leader.<\/p>\n<p>In each battle, Arlo&#8217;s second and third Pok\u00e9mon will be chosen at random out of three different options.<\/p>\n<p>Arlo&#8217;s team is heavily influenced by the first two generations of Pok\u00e9mon, and he will start every battle with<strong> Water-type Horsea.<\/strong> His second Pok\u00e9mon will be selected out of <strong>Water- and Psychic-type Slowbro<\/strong>, <strong>Poison- and Flying-type Crobat<\/strong>, or <strong>Steel- and Ground-type Steelix.<\/strong> His potential final Pok\u00e9mon are all extremely strong, making it difficult regardless of which option Arlo selects. I have found the best way to take him on is to create a team that is super-effective against as many of his Pok\u00e9mon as possible while featuring strong Pok\u00e9mon that can still take out the remaining options if they are used. The best option is to select an Electric-type, such as <strong>Therian Thundurus<\/strong>. In addition to being super-effective against Horsea, it also has an advantage over Slowbro and Crobat. Next, using <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/find-catch-hooh-pokemon-go\/#:~:text=Ho%2DOh%20appears%20in%20five,raid%20is%20next%20to%20impossible.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ho-Oh as a Fire-type<\/a> will make quick work of Steelix and is double super-effective against Scizor.<\/p>\n<p>For a final Pok\u00e9mon, <strong>Groudon is the strongest Ground-type<\/strong> Pok\u00e9mon in the game. It has an advantage over Alolan Muk and can also help with Steelix if it is picked. This only leaves Alakazam. While not super-effective against it, all of Therian Thundurus, Ho-Oh, and Groudon deal damage to it at a normal rate. The encounter will always be the Water type due to being Arlo&#8217;s first Pok\u00e9mon. Victory also counts towards the latest <strong>Team GO Rocket Special Research<\/strong> in Pok\u00e9mon GO, along with being a vital step to facing Rocket Boss Giovanni.<\/p>\n<p>You will receive the same rewards each time you defeat any of the GO Rocket Leaders this month.
