The driver, who stations himself outside the US Consulate, has built a \u201cbrilliant business\u201d – without any app, funding, or fancy technology – simply by offering to keep the bags of visitors attending appointments at the consulate in his vehicle. Rahul Rupani, a product leader at Lenskart and seasoned entrepreneur, shared this story on LinkedIn, where it has since gained massive traction for its sheer ingenuity.<\/p>\n

Rupani recounted his experience while waiting for his visa appointment. \u201cSecurity told me I couldn\u2019t carry my bag inside, with no lockers or alternatives \u2014 just, \u2018Figure it out,\u2019\u201d he said. Standing unsure on the footpath, an auto driver offered a simple solution: \u201cSir, bag de do. Safe rakhunga, mera roz ka hai. \u20b91,000 charge hai.\u201d (Sir, give me your bag. What followed was a revelation in street-smart business: The auto driver parks outside the consulate every day and offers a bag-keeping service at \u20b91,000 per customer. With 20 to 30 customers daily, the driver reportedly earns \u20b920,000 to \u20b930,000 a day \u2014 totaling \u20b95 to 8 lakhs a month \u2014 without even driving his auto.<\/p>\n

Rupani explained, \u201cSince he can\u2019t legally keep 30 bags in his auto, he\u2019s partnered with a local police officer who owns a nearby locker space. The bags go there \u2014 legal, secure, zero hassle. The auto is just the funnel.\u201d
