{"id":157276,"date":"2025-06-04T10:47:09","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T10:47:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/157276\/"},"modified":"2025-06-04T10:47:09","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T10:47:09","slug":"cameron-norrie-claims-theres-a-part-of-novak-djokovics-game-which-nobody-really-talks-about-and-has-improved-so-much","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/157276\/","title":{"rendered":"Cameron Norrie claims there&#8217;s a part of Novak Djokovic&#8217;s game which &#8216;nobody really talks about&#8217; and has improved so much"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Cameron Norrie was unable to end his winless run against Novak Djokovic at the French Open.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/john-isner-explains-what-he-finds-ridiculous-about-novak-djokovic-as-he-makes-it-to-the-french-open-quarter-final\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Norrie was beaten by Djokovic<\/a> for the second time in as many tournaments, having also faced the Serbian in the semi-finals of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/geneva-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Geneva Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This was a significant win for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/novak-djokovic-achieves-feat-at-the-french-open-that-he-is-yet-to-do-at-the-other-grand-slam-tournaments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Djokovic, who made French Open history<\/a> after reaching his 16th consecutive semi-final in Paris.<\/p>\n<p>After playing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/novak-djokovic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Djokovic<\/a> twice in recent weeks, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/cam-norrie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Norrie<\/a> has revealed what part of the 24-time Grand Slam champion\u2019s game he thinks has significantly improved.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/GettyImages-2157989290-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Cameron Norrie of Great Britain looks on against Milos Raonic of Canada during the Men's Singles Round of 32 match on Day One of the cinch Championships at The Queen's Club.\" \/>Photo by Mike Hewitt\/Getty ImagesCameron Norrie claims Novak Djokovic\u2019s serve has improved so much<\/p>\n<p>Norrie played Djokovic for the first time at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/atp-finals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ATP Finals<\/a> in 2021, where he won just three games.<\/p>\n<p>The Brit managed to win seven games against Djokovic at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/french-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">French Open<\/a>, but spoke in his post-match press conference about how impressed he was by the 38-year-old\u2019s serve.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNobody really talks about his first serve and for me I am like I want to make the rallies long and try and play my game and suddenly he breaks the rhythm by serving well,\u201d said Norrie. \u201cHe gets through his service games very quickly so for me it is really impressive the way he serves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is the part of his game he has improved a lot. I obviously did not play him when he was a little bit younger but it\u2019s crazy how accurate he is on the serve.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was making me overplay a few times here and there. He is unbelievable at managing the timing of the match and managing the momentum of the match. It was a good performance from him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was a little bit flat in some moments and I think that was the difference. But evolution?
