King Charles might have to skip one of his favourite Christmas traditions because there are not enough pheasants to shoot at Sandringham Estate. This property, which he inherited from Queen Elizabeth, usually has many wild birds, and the King holds big shooting events every year. But this year, the number of pheasants has dropped a lot. This drop could mean that the usual Boxing Day shoot might be cancelled for the first time in a long time. The King is said to be very upset about this situation. In fact, he has even fired a gamekeeper who had worked at Sandringham for many years.<\/p>\n

A source close to the Royal Family told The Sun, \u201cIt was a total cock up. No birds, no bang, just red faces. The King wasn\u2019t having it.” The gamekeeper, who was fired, is \u201cwell and truly plucked off.”<\/p>\n

Although King Charles usually looks calm in front of people, those who know him closely say he doesn\u2019t handle things well when they don\u2019t go as planned. The counter of that is that he expects other people to show him the same respect, he can certainly go off at the staff in pretty blunt terms when he perceives someone has not done their job properly, or is just being, to use one of his preferred terms, \u2018idiotic\u2019.”<\/p>\n
