Liverpool have seemingly found themselves in the market for several players as the summer transfer window gets underway.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jeremie Frimpong\u2019s transfer has already been confirmed<\/a>, with Florian Wirtz\u2019s Anfield arrival also not that far away. <\/p>\n

Indeed, Liverpool<\/a> have been linked with plenty of players wanting to make the switch to Merseyside, but as with every transfer window, the rumour mill never stops turning. <\/p>\n

And at the moment, it feels like a new player is being linked to Arne Slot\u2019s<\/a> squad every day, especially if they\u2019ve scored a decent number of goals this term. <\/p>\n

Igor Paixao could choose Leeds United over Liverpool this summer<\/p>\n

Igor Paixao has been linked with a Liverpool transfer<\/a> over the last week or so. <\/p>\n

The Brazilian has been previously coached by Slot<\/a> during his time as the Feyenoord coach, where he thrived in the Dutchman\u2019s system. <\/p>\n

However, as per a fresh report from Leeds Live<\/a>, it seems that Paixao is now \u2018open\u2019 to a move to West Yorkshire this summer. <\/p>\n

The report goes on to say that a \u2018suitable offer\u2019 would need to be made for Feyenoord to allow him to depart.<\/p>\n

Leeds Live also add that as long as the \u2018right personal terms\u2019 can be agreed upon for Paixao, the Feyenoord star would want to make the move, even though his transfer fee wouldn\u2019t be \u2018cheap\u2019 due to his recent extension. <\/p>\n

Paixao is a left winger by trade, and at the moment, the Reds have two more than capable players in Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo who can play in that position. <\/p>\n

However, with Barcelona sniffing around Diaz<\/a> and Gakpo being linked with a potential move to Bayern Munich<\/a>, Slot could end up having to look for a replacement sooner than he\u2019d have liked to. <\/p>\n

But, with Liverpool already having a fairly stacked attacking line-up, it wouldn\u2019t make much sense for the winger to make the switch to Anfield<\/a>, especially since he can\u2019t play as a number nine. <\/p>\n
