Mario Kart World<\/a>, the highly-anticipated launch game for the Switch 2, has received a day one update, bringing the game up to version 1.1.0 (thanks, Nintendo Everything<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Those who are starting to get access to the Switch 2 now will be able to download the update immediately, allowing access to the camera, online capabilities, and more.<\/p>\n

So let’s check out the full patch notes:<\/p>\n

\n

– Added support for \u201cCamera Play.\u201d
*A USB camera (sold separately) is required for \u201cCamera Play.\u201d
*You can choose to turn the camera on or off for \u201cEveryone\u201d and \u201cInternet.\u201d
*When the camera is turned on, the player\u2019s face will be displayed during the race.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

– You can now play \u201cOn the Internet.\u201d<\/p>\n

– \u201cLAN Play\u201d is now available.
* On the title screen, press the L stick while pressing the L and R buttons to switch from \u201cLocal Communication\u201d to \u201cLAN Play.\u201d<\/p>\n

-You can now upload\/download ghosts in Time Attack.<\/p>\n

– In \u201cFree Roam\u201d the icons of nearby players are now displayed.<\/p>\n

– We\u2019ve increased the number of characters that can be selected from the start.<\/p>\n

– Improved operability when playing with three or more people in \u201cEveryone.\u201d<\/p>\n

– The time limit for deciding on a course has been removed when playing Locally or LAN.<\/p>\n

– The update data version is now displayed on the title screen.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It was recently revealed that Mario Kart World was originally in development for the Switch 1<\/a>, but the team decided to move it to the new console after discovering that too many compromises would need to be made.<\/p>\n
