House hunters have been left baffled after spotting an\u00a0eccentric ‘bachelor pad’ property which features a wacky ceiling seemingly made from cotton wool.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The terrace house, in Boston, Lincolnshire, has hit the market for offers over\u00a0\u00a3110,000.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Upon first glance, the three-bedroom house looks unassuming as the exterior is narrow and cosy with a traditional tiled roof.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, property hunters were left gobsmacked when flicking through the photos of the dwelling – questioning the interior-design skills of the current home-owner.<\/p>\n

As soon as you step through the front door, you are greeted with a rather bizarre choice of ceiling in the lounge.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While many opt to keep their ceiling basic by opting for simple white paint, the owner of this property wanted to push the boat out by covering every inch of their roof with white fluff to create a cloud effect.<\/p>\n

The ceiling in the main living area is covered in what appears to be bits of cream cotton wool stuck together, with a flat white-tone light in the centre.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This peculiar design choice is said to have come from a TikTok trend in 2020, when many started to experiment with DIY during the Covid-19<\/a> pandemic.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, some people slammed the current resident’s decision to plaster the ceiling with cotton balls, claiming that it is a ‘fire hazard’ and that people have found nasty bugs hiding in the cracks and crevices of the material.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A Reddit user posted the house listing on the anonymous forum platform and said:\u00a0Check out the ceiling in photo two. I had a WTF moment. What IS that??’\u00a0<\/p>\n

It racked up more than 100 replies, with one person writing: ‘Oh my god this was a TikTok<\/a>\u00a0trend ages ago but people kept finding spiders and bugs in it.’<\/p>\n

Another penned: ‘Cloudy with a chance of fire hazard.’<\/p>\n

A third said: ‘That wall sticker in the bathroom is appalling even by tacky wall sticker standards. And stuck onto tile??’<\/p>\n

A fourth commented: ‘If that isn\u2019t owned by a single man, I\u2019ll be shocked.’<\/p>\n

A fifth chimed in and said: ‘What in the TikTok sponsored bachelor life is going on?’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Others pointed out that the owner should focus on cleaning their fish tank, also which is also located in the lounge, as it is a murky brown colour.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0The water in fish tanks should be changed every week or so, along with getting a deep clean every month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, the strange interior design choices do not stop in the living area. Inside the grey bathroom, the homeowner also has a strange quote plastered on the wall on top of their bath.<\/p>\n

It reads: ‘If I were a bubble in your bath, I’d tickle your bum and make you laugh.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the kitchen, often referred to as the heart of the home, potential buyers can see a bright orange scorch mark where an object appears to have caught on fire by the stove.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The\u00a0872 sq ft house also currently has a gym set up by the stairs with a bench, a barbell and some dumbbells – along with an array of Star Wars figurines.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The family home – which is being sold with no chain – is also located a 45-minute drive away from seaside town Skegness.\u00a0<\/p>\n
