{"id":158229,"date":"2025-06-04T19:01:09","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T19:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/158229\/"},"modified":"2025-06-04T19:01:09","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T19:01:09","slug":"reds-make-concrete-offer-for-ligue-1-star-as-fourth-signing-after-wirtz-kerkez","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/158229\/","title":{"rendered":"Reds make &#8216;concrete offer&#8217; for Ligue 1 star as fourth signing after Wirtz, Kerkez"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Liverpool have reportedly made a \u2018concrete offer\u2019 for Rennes centre-back\u00a0Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal as talks progress over deals for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez.<\/p>\n<p>After winning the Premier League having signed just Federico Chiesa and\u00a0Giorgi Mamardashvili last summer, sporting director Richard Hughes is wasting no time in bolstering Arne Slot\u2019s title-winning squad,<\/p>\n<p>Jeremie Frimpong has already joined as Trent Alexander-Arnold\u2019s replacement in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/every-premier-league-transfer-release-completed-summer-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a \u00a330m move from Bayer Leverkusen<\/a><\/strong>, and it\u2019s thought the Red are closing in on the signing of teammate Wirtz, while Kerkez is also expected to arrive from Bournemouth.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed earlier this week that Liverpool are \u2018optimistic\u2019 that they can get a deal over the line for Wirtz, with more negotiations coming.<\/p>\n<p>Romano wrote on\u00a0X: \u2018Liverpool remain confident to finalize Florian Wirtz deal as new round of talks has been scheduled this week. Club optimistic to get the agreement sealed with Bayer Leverkusen soon.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>German publication Bild claim that Wirtz \u2018has already agreed terms\u2019 on a contract until 2030 with Liverpool and that it\u2019s just down to the two clubs to agree a fee.<\/p>\n<p>It is understood that the \u2018deal could ultimately amount to a sum between 140 and the 150 million euros (\u00a3118m-\u00a3127m) demanded by Leverkusen boss Fernando Carro\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/liverpool-take-last-steps-kerkez-wirtz-double-deal-leverkusen-bournemouth-historic-transfer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Liverpool are now \u2018on the verge\u2019 of a \u2018historic\u2019 transfer<\/a><\/strong> with the deal set to break the Premier League record set when Chelsea paid\u00a0\u00a3106.8m for Enzo Fernandez in January 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Both Liverpool and Leverkusen \u2018want to finalise the transfer as quickly as possible under their desired terms\u2019 and the report gives the German side an \u2018advantage\u2019 as they know FSG\u2019s CEO of football, Michael Edwards, \u2018has already received approval from the club\u2019s owners in Boston for \u20ac150 million (\u00a3127m) for Wirtz\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, journalist Rudy Galetti has claimed that Liverpool are \u2018taking the last steps\u2019 to seal a deal for Kerkez, with the Hungary international set to join for \u20ac50m (\u00a342m).<\/p>\n<p>Galetti wrote on X: \u2018Liverpool are taking the last steps for Milos Kerkez.
