King Charles<\/a> has stepped out for a royal engagement tonight just hours after Meghan Markle<\/a> posted a bombshell video<\/a> on Instagram<\/a>. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, posted a video of her and Prince Harry<\/a> \u201ctwerking\u201d and dancing before Princess Lilibet\u2019s birth four years ago today – a move which one royal expert has since dubbed \u201cunroyal\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n

While the monarch, 76, is likely to have heard about the video, he continued on with his royal duties on Wednesday by stepping out in London to mark the 400th anniversary of the Queen\u2019s Chapel with a royal service. The King, who Harry claimed last month \u201cwon\u2019t speak\u201d to him<\/a>, attended the 40-minute service inside the chapel.<\/p>\n

While Queen Camilla, 77, did not attend the service, the King was not the only royal there, with Princess Alexandra also in attendance.<\/p>\n

The King was all smiles throughout the event, which featured music by the Gentlemen and Children of His Majesty\u2019s Chapel Royal Choir, accompanied by the Duchess of Edinburgh\u2019s String Orchestra and the State Trumpeters of the Household Cavalry Band.<\/p>\n

After the service, His Majesty was shown a newly commissioned piece of altar plate \u2013 the His Majesty King Charles III Ciboria \u2013 which is the first addition to the chapel\u2019s silverware since 1688.<\/p>\n

The ceremonial cup, made by St Ives silversmith Tim Lukes, includes the image of the Green Man, which is a symbol used during the King\u2019s Coronation in 2023.<\/p>\n

His Majesty seemed delighted by the cup and the service in general, which reflected on the chapel\u2019s early role as a place of worship for European courtiers.<\/p>\n

It is believed the chapel was built in 1625 and was originally intended for the wedding of the future Charles I to Spanish princess Maria Anna, although it is believed the wedding did not take place.<\/p>\n

As reported by PA News Agency, it was later restored by Christopher Wren and has been part of the Chapel Royal since 1938. At the royal engagement this evening, no mention was made by the King – unsurprisingly – about Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/a>\u2019s controversial dancing video, or the fact it is his granddaughter Princess Lilibet\u2019s birthday.<\/a><\/p>\n

It is believed the monarch has little contact with his granddaughter as a result of Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/a>\u2019s ongoing rifts with his royal relatives – a situation which has been ongoing since they stepped down from royal duty in 2020 and moved to America.<\/p>\n
