Complaints include a vermin and insect \u201cinfestation,\u201d \u201csevere mould,\u201d and management allegedly \u201cencouraging the venue to go above legal capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Workers also accused the club\u2019s owners, Hold Fast Entertainment, of neglecting essential building maintenance, claiming toilets have flooded and that staff have had to clean up faeces \u201cwithout proper PPE.\u201d They also reported a lack of hot water for handwashing, reports <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgowlive.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/glasgow-cathouse-nightclub-staff-blast-31407785\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"GlasgowLive.Link opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">GlasgowLive.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">In response, Hold Fast Entertainment rejected the allegations, calling them \u201cgrossly inaccurate\u201d and \u201cwholly misleading.\u201d The company also accused Unite of making \u201cunreasonable threats.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Unite Hospitality shared a statement on <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/social-media\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"social media,Link opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">social media,<\/a> describing the conditions as \u201cshocking,\u201d and said: \u201cDespite receiving a formal collective grievance 25 days ago, senior management at Hold Fast Entertainment have failed to even set a date to meet workers to discuss these serious issues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;With the support of their union these workers shall now be taking all reasonable action industrially and legally to win a safer\/fairer workplace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/0_JS137803749.jpg\" alt=\"Glasgow's Cathouse night club gas been a popular spot for decades.\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Glasgow&#8217;s Cathouse night club gas been a popular spot for decades.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Cathouse management also posted a statement via social media, stating: &#8220;We are aware of grossly inaccurate and defamatory social media posts, on which we are taking legal advice. The allegations relating to working conditions are in many cases historic and where problems have been identified, were resolved immediately.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;In any event Unite&#8217;s characterisation is wholly misleading. We have continually offered to meet our employees and we have provided a detailed response last month to the grievance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;We have a proud 35-year record of running our business collaboratively with our employees.
