Sir Rod Stewart has sparked fresh concerns after cancelling a second gig within the space of a week.<\/p>\n

The Maggie May hitmaker has suffered a strong of health woes in the last couple of years, and the latest scheduling update follows a similar pattern from last year.<\/p>\n

On Monday, June 2, Stewart took to Instagram to explain he’d be cancelling his Las Vegas gig at Caesars Palace, vowing to reschedule for next week.<\/p>\n

However, on Thursday morning he shared another update, expressing he was “awfully sorry” to have to cancel his June 5 show.<\/p>\n

In view of his 1.5million social media followers, the beloved singer penned: “I’m awfully sorry to have to cancel my show June 5th at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.<\/p>\n

“My doctor ordered a bit more rest while I recover from the flu. Thanks for your love and understanding. Rod.”<\/p>\n

He signed off with a broken heart emoji, and while some would-be concert-goers expressed their disappointment, they all shared their concerns over Stewart’s health.<\/p>\n

“Take all the time your doctor advises you to do to recuperate, your health comes first,” one fan urged the singer in the comments section.<\/p>\n

“Take care Sir Roderick and have a great recovery! I’m sending you positive vibes,” a second wrote.<\/p>\n

A third added: “I am so sad! I always wanted to see your show since I was a young girl. Since this was your last tour I finally got my tickets. <\/p>\n

“My sisters and I flew down to Las Vegas and as the plane landed we got the message that the concert was cancelled, very sad, but I would even be sadder if you forced yourself to do a show when you weren\u2019t feeling well. Get well soon but make sure it\u2019s not too soon! Take all the time you need to recover!”<\/p>\n

Responding, someone else echoed: “I wish Rod the best too. I\u2019m still naturally sad too. After waiting years to see his Vegas show and flying all the way here yesterday.”<\/p>\n

“So sad to read this – wishing you a speedy recovery – here in Vegas having flown in yesterday so the disappointment is immense – but can\u2019t be helped,” another shared graciously.<\/p>\n

“Praying for you Rod. Everything will be fine. Take care and God bless you,” a different fan posted, with another commenting: “Get well Sir Rod! That’s most important.”<\/p>\n

Last year, Stewart rescheduled a string of gigs due to his health. After announcing he had strep throat in August, he was later struck down with Covid-19.<\/p>\n

Shortly after, another update confirmed two further US shows wouldn’t be going ahead.<\/p>\n

In November, he shared his plans to scale back but assured fans he wouldn’t be stopping gigs completely, sharing a post that read: “This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me,” but he reassured fans they haven’t seen the last of him as he added: “But I have no desire to retire.”<\/p>\n

The statement continued: “I love what I do, and I do what I love.
