These striking images, exhibited as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.righthererightnow.global\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit<\/a>, show the devastating effects of climate change.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmbghqfnq00143b6m988a0xhd@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            The summit, held at the University of Oxford in the UK and supported by UN Human Rights (OHCHR), aims to reframe climate change as a human rights crisis and spotlight climate solutions. It works with everyone from policymakers to artists to get the message across.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmbghqfnq00153b6mggo2pd7g@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cPhotographers document the human rights impacts of climate change, helping to inform the public and hold governments and businesses accountable,\u201d said Volker T\u00fcrk, UN High Commissioner for the OHCHR, via email. \u201cThe Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit shows the power of collective action \u2014 uniting storytellers, scientists, indigenous leaders, and others to advance climate solutions rooted in human rights.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmbghqfnq00163b6mpkfdperr@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Coinciding with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldenvironmentday.global\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World Environment Day<\/a> on June 5, the exhibition \u2014 titled \u201cPhotography 4 Humanity: A Lens on Climate Justice\u201d \u2014 features the work of 31 photographers from across the globe, all documenting the effects of global warming and environmental pollution on their own communities.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmbghqfnq00173b6mnedslrum@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Climate change disproportionately affects vulnerable populations around the world. Despite emitting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/stories\/2023\/01\/climate-crisis-poor-davos2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">far fewer greenhouse gases<\/a>, low-income nations are suffering the most from extreme weather events and have fewer resources to adapt or recover.\n    <\/p>\n<p>       <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/22-winner-sarwer.jpg\" alt=\"A house falls into the River Ganges in West Bengal, India, due to erosion.\" class=\"image__dam-img image__dam-img--loading\" onload=\"this.classList.remove('image__dam-img--loading')\" onerror=\"imageLoadError(this)\" height=\"4000\" width=\"6000\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmbghqajc00123b6mtd12mnky@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Photographs at the exhibition show the effects of desertification, flooding and plastic pollution. A black and white image shows the ruins of a house in West Bengal, India, sloping towards the Ganges River, with the owner sitting alongside. Riverbank erosion is <a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s10668-022-02648-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">degrading the environment and displacing communities<\/a> in the area. Photographer Masood Sarwer said in a press release that the photo depicts the \u201cslow violence\u201d of climate change: \u201cThese are not sudden disasters, but slow-moving, relentless ones \u2014 shaping a new category of environmental refugees.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmbgi9040001g3b6mhm0zatin@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Another photo, taken by Aung Chan Thar, shows children fishing for trash in Inle Lake, Myanmar.
