{"id":160426,"date":"2025-06-05T14:27:13","date_gmt":"2025-06-05T14:27:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/160426\/"},"modified":"2025-06-05T14:27:13","modified_gmt":"2025-06-05T14:27:13","slug":"ballerinas-rotten-tomatoes-score-has-been-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/160426\/","title":{"rendered":"BALLERINA&#8217;s Rotten Tomatoes Score Has Been Revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From the World of John Wick: Ballerina takes place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 \u2013 Parabellum, and follows Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas), who is beginning her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s been some scepticism surrounding the movie, <a href=\"https:\/\/comicbookmovie.com\/action\/john-wick\/john-wicks-chad-stahelski-took-charge-of-ballerinas-reshoots-to-clean-up-len-wisemans-mess---update-a213976#gs.m8o6yb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>particularly after reports of issues on set<\/strong><\/a>. However, Lionsgate would later deny that\u00a0Chad Stahelski had to step in and take charge of things from Len Wiseman, a filmmaker with a spotty track record at best (his credits include Underworld and Total Recall).<\/p>\n<p>Still, de Armas has showcased her action star abilities in No Time to Die, and it\u00a0sounds like she and Wiseman have delivered with this first big screen\u00a0John Wick spin-off.<\/p>\n<p>The review embargo for Ballerina\u00a0lifted last night, and critics have mostly positive things to say. While it doesn&#8217;t sound like the movie breaks any new ground, de Armas is being unanimously praised, and most seem eager for a sequel.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;[Ana] de Armas is a magnetic presence with all the right moves,&#8221;<\/strong> writes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-reviews\/from-the-world-of-john-wick-ballerina-review-ana-de-armas-1236255035\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, <strong>&#8220;and Wiseman\u2019s muscular direction \u2014 along with DP Romain Lacourbas\u2019 sleek visuals and an unrelenting pace that never lets up on the violence for long \u2014 makes for mindless summer action entertainment with a lot of style.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/film\/reviews\/ballerina-review-ana-de-armas-john-wick-1236416050\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Variety<\/a>, meanwhile,\u00a0explains, <strong>&#8220;&#8216;Ballerina&#8217;\u00a0is a worthy entry in the &#8216;John Wick&#8217;\u00a0canon, though I say that as someone who doesn\u2019t think the &#8216;John Wick&#8217;\u00a0canon is all that. By the end, Ana de Armas has proved that fighting like a girl and fighting like a guy need not be appreciably different, especially if they\u2019re all fighting like a video game.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a 3* review, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/reviews\/ballerina\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Empire<\/a> concludes, <strong>&#8220;The story is a bit slight, but it\u2019s fun to watch Ana de Armas punch, shoot, stab and blast everything and everyone in her way. A Wick-edly entertaining addition to one of cinema\u2019s best action franchises.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalspy.com\/movies\/a64943255\/ballerina-review-john-wick\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Digital Spy<\/a> awards it the same score:\u00a0<strong>&#8220;If all you want is two hours of action that&#8217;s worthy of the John Wick series though, then Ballerina will prove an ideal watch as it has some excellent set pieces that are stylishly executed. It&#8217;s just a frustration that not everything else is en pointe.&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/john-wick-ballerina-review-ana-de-armas-keanu-reeves\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">IGN<\/a> was full of praise with an 8\/10 review that reveals,\u00a0<strong>&#8220;In spite of a slow start, Ballerina proves she belongs in The World of John Wick with fight choreography that\u2019s every bit as creative (and fun) as anything else the series has given us and a story and character that stand on their own.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/tv-movies\/tv-movie-reviews\/ballerina-review-john-wick-ana-de-armas-1235345736\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rolling Stone<\/a> was less impressed, pointing out, &#8220;&#8216;Ballerina&#8217;\u00a0is not the &#8216;John Wick&#8217; spin-off you&#8217;re looking for.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Finally, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiewire.com\/criticism\/movies\/ballerina-review-ana-de-armas-john-wick-keanu-reeves-1235129385\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">IndieWire<\/a> sees great potential in a Ballerina franchise.<strong> &#8220;A bigger, more confident sequel might be just what this franchise needs to enjoy a peaceful transition of power,&#8221;<\/strong> the site points out,<strong>\u00a0&#8220;and to make good on the full potential of a Hollywood action movie that meaningfully tries to iterate on John Wick instead of just copying his moves.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With these reviews comes a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/ballerina_2024\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rotten Tomatoes<\/a> score. As we first reported on <a href=\"https:\/\/actionewz.com\/movies\/ballerina-heres-what-critics-are-saying-about-the-john-wick-spin-off-rotten-tomatoes-score-revealed-a5834\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ActioNewz.com<\/a>, the movie sits at an impressive 78% on the review aggregator based on 82 reviews.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s the lowest score yet for the franchise, as 2014&#8217;s John Wick received 86% from critics. John Wick: Chapter 2 has 89%, as does\u00a0John Wick: Chapter 3 \u2013 Parabellum. John Wick: Chapter 4 remains the best-reviewed instalment with 94%.
