A store at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway<\/a> is set to close its doors. Stationery and gift shop Typo, which also sells homeware and tech accessories, is currently located on the lower floor of The Mall.<\/p>\n

Shoppers say it is running a closing-down sale that will reduce some products in price by 50 per cent. No official information about the closure has been published on the Cotton On or Typo website as of yet.<\/p>\n

However, the shopping centre has confirmed it will be closing. It also teased new additions arriving “very soon” at the Mall.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson said: \u201cAll shopping destinations see changes in their line-ups and we can confirm that Typo will be closing its store.<\/p>\n

“Cribbs Mall attracts a lot of interest from a wide range of national and international brands keen to join our line-up and we look forward to announcing more new arrivals at the centre very soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Part of the Cotton On Group, there are currently two Typo stores in Bristol – the other being on the lower level of Cabot Circus<\/a>, with others in Bath, Exeter, and further afield, according to the brand’s store finder function online.<\/p>\n

ASOS and WHSmith also stock select Typo products, while globally you can find Typo stores in Australia, Asia, New Zealand, the US and South Africa.<\/p>\n

The Cotton On Group is an Australian retail brand founded in 1991. In 2020 it boasted a total of more than 1,500 stores in 18 countries, and employed 22,000 people across its eight brands – Cotton On, Cotton On Kids, Cotton On Body, Factorie, Typo, Rubi, Supre, Ceres, and Cotton On Foundation.<\/p>\n

As of 2025, Cotton On has around 1,298 stores globally, including 20 in the UK.<\/p>\n
