Nicky Katt has died at the age of 54, his attorney has confirmed.<\/p>\n
The actor, best known for appearing in Dazed and Confused, School of Rock,<\/a> and Friends, appeared in dozens of popular movies and TV shows from the 70s onwards.<\/p>\n Details surrounding Nicky\u2019s passing, including his cause of death, are not yet known.<\/p>\n Katt was born in South Dakota 1970 and a decade later he made his acting debut as a child.<\/p>\n In 1992 he appeared in the role of a waiter in Sister Act which starred Whoopi Goldberg, Maggie Smith and Wendy Makkena.\u00a0<\/p>\n He gained wider recognition for his role as Clint Bruno in Dazed and Confused and later played Mark in Babysitter with Alicia Silverstone and Jeremy London.\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t He also appeared alongside Jack Black in School of Rock and played the character of Razor.\u00a0<\/p>\n The actor worked alongside a number of high-profile celebs including George Clooney, Whoopi Goldberg, Meryl Streep, Alicia Silverstone and Renee Zellweger.<\/p>\n He previously talked about being cast as tough characters as well as non-villainous roles and told\u00a0IGN<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0during a past interview: \u2018So I\u2019ve been really lucky\u2026<\/p>\n \t\t \u2018But it\u2019s kind of worked against me because people will see me in stuff and I\u2019ve had people say, \u201cGee, it\u2019s too bad you got cut out of that movie,\u201d and I\u2019m like, \u201cNo no no, I was that frat guy.\u201d\u2018\u00a0<\/p>\n He added: \u2018So it\u2019s a double-edged thing, you know \u2013 at a certain point you can almost be too versatile, and that sounds lame, but I\u2019ve always looked up to people like Gary Oldman and Lee Marvin and Warren Oates, these guys who don\u2019t really fit into one thing.<\/p>\n \u2018I mean, everyone also says that the bad guys are the most fun, but I\u2019ve definitely gone through streaks where that\u2019s all that people wanted me to play, the bad guy, especially after Dazed And Confused.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n Katt continued: \u2018But I\u2019ve been really lucky because I get to play all different types of guys.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n Got a story?<\/strong><\/p>\n If you\u2019ve got a celebrity story, video or pictures get in touch with the Metro.co.uk<\/a> entertainment team by emailing us celebtips@metro.co.uk, calling 020 3615 2145 or by visiting our Submit Stuff<\/a> page \u2013 we\u2019d love to hear from you.<\/p>\n Arrow Arrow![\"Actor](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/SEI_247351072-de93.jpg\")
