A pair of teenage<\/a> girls have been arrested and charged after incidents of vehicles being deliberately set alight in Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

The fires<\/a> occurred at around 11.30pm on Friday, April 11, in Stenhouse. Police said the teens, aged 15 and 17, were arrested following a blaze on Saughton Mains Park, and another on Whitson Road.<\/p>\n

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched one appliance, and left the scene after the flames were put out. It is understood nobody was injured, reports Edinburgh Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is parked on a residential street, and appears to be dangerously close<\/a> to houses and other cars.<\/p>\n

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Two females, aged 15 and 17, have been arrested and charged in connection with wilful vehicle fires on Saughton Mains Park and Whitson Road, Edinburgh<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“A report has been submitted to the relevant authorities<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service<\/a> spokesperson said: “We received the call at 11.30pm, and we mobilised one fire appliance.<\/p>\n
