An Edinburgh van driver allegedly crashed into vehicles on Thursday morning as horrified locals watched on.<\/p>\n

The incident happened on Craigentinny Road at around 6.45am on June 5. Police<\/a> were at the scene.<\/p>\n

A witness reported seeing the van overtake a bin lorry before hitting a truck on the other side of the road and then a grey SUV.<\/p>\n

The driver is then understood to have left the scene on foot. The van’s front wheel is missing with the hazard lights activated on both vehicles.<\/p>\n

It’s understood nobody was injured in the smash.<\/p>\n

The resident said: “White van tried to overtake refuse truck, hit the parked flat bed truck on the opposite side of the road, and then struck the grey SUV.<\/p>\n

“There’re skid marks from the van on the road. It was a man in his 20s of a medium height wearing a blue cap. He then made off in Leith direction.”<\/p>\n

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.50am on Thursday, 5 June, 2025, we were called to a report of a van colliding with two other vehicles on Craigentinny Road, Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

“There are no reported injuries.
