The winning artworks now form the centrepiece of the dot-art Schools 2025 Exhibition, returning to its home at the renowned Walker Art Gallery for another year.<\/p>\n<p>This inspiring showcase presents exceptional creativity from Year 5 and Year 9 artists representing more than 80 schools throughout the Liverpool City Region. We encourage everyone to visit the exhibition and experience the imagination and creativity of these young artists first-hand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Competition Winners<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Primary Overall Winner: \u201cSea Turtle 8\u201d by Maxwell Cogley of St Bede\u2019s Catholic Primary School<\/li>\n<li>Primary Runner Up: \u201cFrida Kahlo\u2019s Portrait 2\u201d by Lily Beckett of St Austin\u2019s Primary School<\/li>\n<li>Primary Runner Up: \u201cThe Lost Girl\u201d by Vanisha, New Park Primary School<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Secondary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Secondary Overall Winner: \u201cMirror to the Soul\u201d by Anna Walker of St Julie\u2019s Catholic High School<\/li>\n<li>Secondary Runner Up: \u201cOcean Cry\u201d by Daniel Welch of St John Plessington Catholic College<\/li>\n<li>Secondary Runner Up: \u201cFox Study\u201d by Jessica Strype of Litherland High School<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Beyond the winning works of art, the exhibition also recognises every participating school, valued sponsors, and dedicated supporters. Interactive elements include a special screening showcasing each school\u2019s top three shortlisted works.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s hands-on experience invites gallery visitors to create their own \u2018Selfie Sketch\u2019 portrait, contributing to a collaborative \u2018Visitors Mini Gallery\u2019 that grows throughout the exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>The path to recognition has been rigorous for each young artist. Schools initially submitted entries, followed by expert evaluation from a distinguished panel of arts professionals who selected the top three works from each institution. The winner for each school was then determined through an online public vote, ensuring community involvement in celebrating these emerging talents.
