Joining mobile and web-based versions of Snapchat, the Apple Watch app lets you preview incoming messages on your wrist (functionality that already existed if you chose to mirror notifications from your iPhone) and reply to them using the wearable\u2019s tiny keyboard, scribbling letters with your finger, or by dictating a response that\u2019s converted to text. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe number of devices we use in our daily lives has grown,\u201d the company says in a blog post on its website<\/a>. \u201cAlready we\u2019re seeing our community enjoy using Snapchat across surfaces including tablet and web, in addition to mobile, and this builds on our commitment to making Snapchat available across all the devices you use, including wearables.\u201d<\/p>\n The app doesn\u2019t provide the full Snapchat experience, but it\u2019s still a welcome new feature in a time when many companies have abandoned support for the Apple Watch.
