Prince Harry<\/a> and King Charles are not set to reconcile any time soon as one royal expert believes \u201cthere is no turning back\u201d for the father and son. Since Prince Harry<\/a> quit royal life in 2020 and moved to America with his wife Meghan Markle<\/a>, the duke, 40, has not held back from criticising the Firm.<\/p>\n

Alongside his wife Meghan Markle<\/a>, 43, Harry has criticised his royal relatives on a number of occasions, including on their 2022 Netflix<\/a> docuseries Harry and Meghan, and in the duke\u2019s bombshell memoir Spare published in 2023. Despite painting his father as \u201ccold\u201d in his memoir,<\/a> it is believed Harry did maintain some form a relationship with the 76-year-old monarch until recently, when Harry\u2019s court appeal against the Home Office reportedly resulted in the King not speaking to his youngest son.<\/p>\n

In a BBC<\/a> interview last month after losing his court appeal regarding his downgraded UK security rights<\/a>, Harry claimed his father \u201cwon\u2019t speak\u201d<\/a> to him, with a royal expert now believing that this lack of contact could be the case for a long time to come.<\/p>\n

British royal expert Hilary Fordwich has now told Fox News Digital<\/a>: “There is no turning back. King Charles remains tender towards his son but can\u2019t risk communication.<\/p>\n

“Prince William<\/a> now has absolutely no interest in mending fences. Those close to the king say he [shouldn\u2019t] make peace with Harry in a way that would burden Prince William<\/a>\u2019s future reign. The animosity is so deep that William has shut the door on Harry.<\/p>\n

\u201cCharles is not willing to go against his heir\u2019s wishes. Everything comes down to trust and the lack of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
