{"id":163061,"date":"2025-06-06T13:38:12","date_gmt":"2025-06-06T13:38:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/163061\/"},"modified":"2025-06-06T13:38:12","modified_gmt":"2025-06-06T13:38:12","slug":"uk-tourists-in-spain-issued-significant-amber-heat-warning-as-temperatures-surpass-40c","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/163061\/","title":{"rendered":"UK tourists in Spain issued &#8216;significant&#8217; amber heat warning as temperatures surpass 40C"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Temperatures are set to reach 42C in parts of Spain over the next few days<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/0_Spain-Andalusia-Seville-Seville-Cathedral.jpg\" alt=\"Spain, Andalusia, Seville, Seville Cathedral\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Seville is among the areas affected by the weather warnings this week(Image: Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">British holidaymakers are being warned of temperatures surpassing 40C in parts of Spain this week as a &#8220;significant&#8221; amber alert has been issued.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Parts of Andalusia, Castile-La Mancha and Murcia have been issued a yellow weather warning by Spanish meteorological agency AEMET, coming into affect at 1pm on Saturday, June 7.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Cordoba, Huelva, Seville and Morena are among the affected areas on Saturday, when temperatures are set to reach 28C. These warnings remain in place until 9pm the same day &#8211; but there are more warnings the following day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">On Sunday, June 8, there are multiple yellow warnings as well as more severe amber alerts, which mean &#8220;significant risk&#8221;. Affected areas includes Cordoba, Granada, Huelva, Seville and Malaga among other parts of Andalusia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">As well as issuing weather warnings, AEMET has a fire risk map which shows the likelihood of wildfires.
