Last One Laughing<\/a> has become one of 2025’s breakout comedy hits after debuting on Prime Video<\/a> earlier this year \u2013 breaking records in the process<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The show sees a group of comedians put together in a room and tasked with not laughing \u2013 while also trying to make each other corpse.<\/p>\n

The Jimmy Carr-hosted series includes a number of Taskmaster<\/a> favourites, including Bob Mortimer<\/a>, Daisy May Cooper<\/a>, Joe Lycett<\/a>, Lou Sanders and Judi Love<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Channel 4 series has proven a great pipeline for comedy talent to take on Last One Laughing, and with a second season on the way, we’ve listed nine more alumni that would be great for the series.<\/p>\n

Channel 4<\/p>\n

Phil Wang<\/p>\n

The comedian competed on the seventh season of Taskmaster \u2013 though his stint didn’t exactly end in glory. As well as coming last, Wang<\/a> is also among only eight contestants in the show’s history to never win an episode.<\/p>\n

Still, he had plenty of memorable hilarious moments, including slow-mo hula hooping<\/a> and a Bruce Lee jumpsuit that left little to the imagination.<\/p>\n

Fatiha El-Ghorri<\/p>\n

El-Ghourri is currently leaving fans in stitches on the ongoing 19th season of Taskmaster<\/a>, and was named the winner of the most-recent sixth episode. In it, she aced challenges including making a contestant look like they’re the parent of the others.<\/p>\n

No doubt she’d have her fellow comedians struggling on Last One Laughing.<\/p>\n

Taskmaster\/\/Channel 4<\/p>\n

James Acaster<\/p>\n

Acaster<\/a> appeared alongside Wang in the seventh season, giving fans many memorable moments including trying to ride a bike while hula hooping and hilariously ignoring Horne at the start of each task.<\/p>\n

Acaster ended up in fourth place on his season (though became the highest-scoring fourth-placed contestant in the show’s history with 165 points), and would no doubt be a strong competitor on Last One Laughing \u2013 in his own words: “Expect the unexpected, babay.”<\/p>\n

Noel Fielding<\/p>\n

The Great British Bake Off<\/a> co-host competed on Taskmaster all the way back in 2017’s season four, which he ended up winning, before going on to compete on the first Champions of Champions season.<\/p>\n

The comedian’s drawing skills put him in good stead \u2013 and who could forget putting a cake in a washing machine<\/a>. We certainly could expect the unexpected with Fielding.<\/p>\n

Mike Wozniak<\/p>\n

One of Taskmaster’s most memorable contestants, Wozniak produced a goldmine of all-timer moments \u2013 including his thrilling attempt to produce a fart only to dislodge a haemorrhoid, and an explanation of a symbolic nipple, to name a few.<\/p>\n

The comedian came second in season 11, though was so beloved that he has gone on to appear as the assistant on Junior Taskmaster<\/a>. No doubt he would cause utter chaos on Last One Laughing.<\/p>\n

Avalon\/\/Channel 4<\/p>\n

Fern Brady<\/p>\n

Brady<\/a> came joint-fourth on season 14 of Taskmaster \u2013 though only ranked last in two tasks throughout the season, the least out of any of the show’s bottom placed stars.<\/p>\n

The comedian’s memorable moments include putting Horne in a rubber chute and giving him a makeover, and a half-hearted attempt at acrobatics in an airport. One that would certainly have others in stitches.<\/p>\n

Dave<\/p>\n

Nish Kumar <\/p>\n

Another last-placed comedian, Kumar<\/a> appeared on season 5 of Taskmaster, and is among the eight contestants to never win an episode of the show. Still, his maddening flits between moods proved a highlight of the season, which would no doubt put him in good stead for Last One Laughing.<\/p>\n

Susan Wokoma<\/p>\n

Chewing Gum star Wokoma<\/a> took part in season 16 in 2023, taking third place with 139 points.<\/p>\n

The star put her RADA-trained skills to good use with a bizarre, nightmarish and hilarious version of ‘Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ involving a rubber duck and Horne in a funereal outfit \u2013 and fans would no doubt love to see what she’d have in store in a room full of comedians.<\/p>\n

Sophie Duker<\/p>\n

Duker<\/a> was the champion of season 13, and proved a high scorer after becoming only one of a few champions to never score less than 10 points.<\/p>\n

She went on to finish as runner up on Champion of Champions, and going by her brilliant Taskmaster antics \u2013 including her face-off building a toilet roll tower<\/a> \u2013 she would be a strong Last One Laughing contender.<\/p>\n
