Meghan Markle is set to snub King Charles on the same day as Trooping the Colour<\/a>. The Duchess of Sussex<\/a> is set to give a speech at a glitzy Los Angeles bash, which is scheduled to take place on June 14<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The former working royal will be recognised at the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County’s Night of Wonder gala. Her speech is set to take place after being celebrated for her work to advance community wellbeing and expand opportunity, especially for underserved communities.<\/p>\n

Lori Bettison-Varga, the President and Director of the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County, said: “We are proud to honour Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, a native Angeleno, whose work to advance community wellbeing and expand opportunity aligns with our equity-focused approach.”<\/p>\n

Although Meghan will be in attendance next week, it remains unknown whether Harry is expected to join his wife. But either way, the event will likely be seen as a huge snub to King Charles and the rest of the Firm due to the timing of the appearance.<\/p>\n

The Duchess will be hitting the headlines on the same day as Trooping the Colour, the traditional annual military parade marking the British Sovereign’s official birthday, which will see senior royals unite at Buckingham Palace.<\/p>\n

King Charles, the Princess of Wales and Prince William<\/a> are expected to unite for Trooping the Colour celebrations in central London.<\/p>\n

Rick Genow, who is known to be a long-time friend and business partner of Meghan, has been revealed as one of the prestigious event’s key organisers.<\/p>\n

Rick and his wife Mary Fulginiti-Genow are both on a list of co-chairs of the upcoming Night of Wonder event.<\/p>\n

He is known to have been a close ally of Meghan – with the Daily Mail reporting that he was one friend that remained by her side after stepping away from the Royal Family.<\/p>\n
