They joined newly-single and very animated Romeo Beckham, 22, following his shock split from Kim Turbull\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Mail revealed earlier on Wednesday that the couple had gone their separate ways\u00a0after seven months together, with friends saying that the romance \u2018fizzled out\u2019 three weeks after David\u2019s 50th birthday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Romeo first publicly launched his relationship with Kim last November after weeks of exchanging flirty ‘likes’ on Instagram<\/a>\u00a0however despite being warmly welcomed into the family, the relationship has now run its course.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Friends told The Mail that things remain \u2018amicable\u2019 between Romeo and Kim, and that their parting is \u2018nothing to do\u2019 with Kim being blamed by Nicola Peltz<\/a> for being the catalyst for the feud that has ripped the Beckham family apart.<\/p>\n

One said: \u2018Romeo and Kim are both young and they had a lovely time together<\/a> but at that age things don\u2019t always last forever and they decided to split up.<\/p>\n

\u2018They have been friendly since and have even been at the same venues. It\u2019s a huge shame, particularly as David and Victoria really adored her and thought she made Romeo happy but it wasn\u2019t to be.<\/p>\n

\u2018It happened a couple of weeks ago and relations have remained friendly between them.<\/p>\n

It comes following the news that dad\u00a0David<\/a>\u00a0is to be awarded a knighthood<\/a>\u00a0in the King’s Birthday Honour’s List after being snubbed for years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The former Manchester United and England star, who recently celebrated his milestone 50th birthday, will be confirmed as a ‘Sir’ when the list is released next week, according to The Sun<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His wife and former Spice Girl Victoria<\/a>\u00a0will be known as Lady Beckham.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The tattooed ex-England captain last month chatted with King Charles<\/a> at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show<\/a> in London<\/a>, with their bond reportedly growing close in recent years through their shared love of gardening.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 76-year-old monarch was heard congratulating the former England footballer on his landmark celebrations \u2013 and asked the star whether he had received their present.<\/p>\n

There was also an alleged 2013 leaked email, when, bitter not to be knighted, he complained about Katherine Jenkins, fuming ‘Katherine Jenkins OBE for what? Singing at the rugby and going to see the troops. Plus taking coke.
