{"id":163869,"date":"2025-06-06T20:43:16","date_gmt":"2025-06-06T20:43:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/163869\/"},"modified":"2025-06-06T20:43:16","modified_gmt":"2025-06-06T20:43:16","slug":"two-more-arrests-made-in-hartcliffe-attempted-murder-probe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/163869\/","title":{"rendered":"Two more arrests made in Hartcliffe attempted murder probe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A black Mini Cooper was involved in the hit-and-run incidents<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1_AD_04-06-2025_mini.jpg\" alt=\"The black Mini Cooper believed to have been stolen from a property the previous day.\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>The black Mini Cooper believed to have been stolen from a property the previous day.(Image: Avon &amp; Somerset Police)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Two more people have been arrested and questioned on suspicion of <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/crime\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">attempted murder<\/a> following a pair of fail-to-stop collisions which took place in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/south-bristol\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">south Bristol<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The latest announcement comes off the back of <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/news\/bristol-news\/five-teens-arrested-attempted-murder-10238600\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">five previous arrests made<\/a> during police inquires as detectives continue to investigate the collisions that occurred in Hartcliffe on Thursday, May 29.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">In both incidents, a stolen black Mini Cooper failed to stop at the scene and the vehicle was later abandoned in Hillcrest where four people were seen walking away from the car.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The first incident happened in Teyfant Road at about 12.30pm, where two teenage boys were struck while on a Sur-Ron bike \u2014 both victims were able to escape serious injury.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1749242596_859_1_AD_04-06-2025_mini.jpg\" alt=\"The black Mini Cooper believed to have been stolen from a property the previous day.\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>The black Mini Cooper which is believed to have been involved in both incidents(Image: Avon &amp; Somerset Police)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Five hours later, the second collision happened in Hareclive Road where an off-road bike rider sustained facial injuries which required treatment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The injured man has since been discharged from hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Mini Cooper is believed to have been stolen from a property in Speedwell overnight on Wednesday, May 28, and was used in both incidents the following day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Initially, five teens were arrested in connection with the incident. On Friday, police confirmed that a further two people had been arrested and questioned.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A spokesman for <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/avon-and-somerset-constabulary\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Avon and Somerset Police<\/a> said: &#8220;Seven people have now been arrested and questioned in connection with our enquiries, following the further two arrests in the past 48 hours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;All have been released on conditional bail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Uniformed officers have been carrying out more patrols in the area since last week\u2019s incidents and we\u2019d continue to ask anyone with concerns to speak to officers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;We\u2019d continue to ask for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
