Emergency services were called to St Albans Road in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/wallasey\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Wallasey<\/a> at around 12.25pm today, Saturday, June 7.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It followed a report a black Mini Cooper Countryman car had been involved in a crash with a pedestrian.<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/merseyside-police\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> Officers<\/a> attended the scene and found a 94-year-old woman had suffered serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">She was taken by ambulance to hospital where she is being treated, police said. The 89-year-old driver of the car stopped at the scene and is helping police with their inquiries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/merseyside-police\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Merseyside Police<\/a> said one lane of St Albans Road has been closed while investigations are carried out to establish what has happened.
