US Jewish groups are unified over the need to fight mounting antisemitic incidents across the country, but many are bitterly opposed to how President Donald Trump is seeking to counter the scourge.<\/p>\n
A string of incidents has targeted Jews in the United States in recent weeks. Two Israeli embassy workers were murdered in Washington, Molotov cocktails were thrown at an event in Colorado, and tensions persist on university campuses.<\/p>\n
The conservative Heritage Foundation think-tank, behind the \u201cProject 2025\u201d road map for radically overhauling and shrinking the government, published in October \u201cProject Esther\u201d \u2013 a blueprint on combating antisemitism.<\/p>\n
The project seeks to \u201cdismantle\u201d so-called \u201canti-Israel,\u201d \u201canti-Zionist,\u201d or \u201cpro-Palestinian\u201d organizations allegedly part of a \u201cHamas support network\u201d that has \u201cinfiltrated\u201d universities including Columbia and Harvard.<\/p>\n
The text advocates the dismissal of professors, barring some foreign students from campuses, expelling others outright, and withholding public funding from universities.<\/p>\n
