A quaint fishing village in the South West has been recognised as one of the country’s top coastal spots.<\/p>\n

Nestled in the western part of Cornwall, just three miles from Penzance, is the historic fishing village of Mousehole.<\/p>\n

This delightful locale has been included in Conde Nast Traveller’s 2025 list of England’s finest seaside locations. The guide hails it as “one of the county’s most picturesque fishing villages” and a perfect retreat to “escape the hustle and bustle of city life”.<\/p>\n

Mousehole is home to a beautiful harbour and sandy beach, along with an array of galleries, gift shops, and eateries.<\/p>\n

The village has successfully preserved much of its unique and historical charm over time, with its lanes adorned with traditional buildings, some dating back to the 13th century, reports Bristol Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For walking enthusiasts, the coastal walk from Mousehole to Lamorna offers stunning views of the coastline. However, be ready for some scrambling over large granite boulders along the route.<\/p>\n

As per Visit Cornwall, “Mousehole is considered one of Cornwall’s prettiest fishing villages, with two small sandy beaches inside its harbour quays, only accessible at low tide, and a long pebble beach running east toward Penlee Point.”<\/p>\n

Swimming aficionados will enjoy the Mousehole Rock Pool, a natural tidal pool that’s ideal for a wild sea swim and seal spotting in the bay.<\/p>\n

The charming village of Mousehole is well-equipped with numerous car parks near its harbour, offers complimentary on-street parking as you enter the village, and benefits from a dependable bus service connecting it to Penzance nearby.<\/p>\n

Mousehole has been lavished with praise on Tripadvisor, where visitors are unanimous in their admiration for the village’s allure and the wealth of activities available.<\/p>\n

One visitor, Lampwicke, was effusive about the locale: “A lovely little harbour with small sandy beach. Safe for children to play. Very picturesque with little cottages surrounding it.”<\/p>\n

Sailing<\/a> Elleray chimed in: “Mousehole is a very beautiful place. You can snap off photos all day and never capture all of its quirkiness, quaintness and sheer beauty.”<\/p>\n

Divebubbles 24 offered their view: “A lovely quaint little harbour with some nice views, shops and beach area. Seals come up to the waters edge. Worth a visit.”<\/p>\n

While Rakehoe shared: “Mousehole is a lovely village on the coast around from Penzance. Busy harbour and lots to see and do.
