Novak Djokovic\u2019s quest for a 25th Grand Slam continues following his French Open defeat.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Djokovic returned to form after the past two tournaments, starting with his Geneva Open<\/a> title win before arriving in Paris.<\/p>\n

He reached the last four at Roland Garros without dropping a set but so did his opponent, Jannik Sinner<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old went toe-to-toe with the World number one for over three hours, but Djokovic ultimately succumbed to a 4-6, 5-7, 6-7 defeat<\/a>, putting his chase for a record 25th major on hold, at least until the upcoming Wimbledon Championships<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Novak Djokovic<\/a> will not have to wait long for another chance at Grand Slam glory.<\/p>\n

The French Open will end following the men\u2019s final on Sunday and just three weeks later, all eyes will turn to West London for the start of Wimbledon.<\/p>\n

Djokovic has won the title at SW19 seven times and reached the final in 2023 and 2024, but lost to Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> on both occasions.<\/p>\n

The Serbian will fancy his chances of success at the All-England Club given his record and due to nature of grass which is a faster surface and is more conducive to shorter rallies.<\/p>\n

This is ideal for Djokovic at this stage of his career and therefore, taking these factors into account, Andy Roddick<\/a> thinks Djokovic can succeed at Wimbledon again.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cI am going to say this right now. Novak can win Wimbledon. I am just going to tell you,\u201d Roddick said via his \u2018Served\u2019 podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing he does at 38 becomes easier when he steps on to a clay court. Everything he does well at 38 gets better when he steps on to a grass court.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would suspect that he walks into Wimbledon saying that this is my best chance to win a major and making the semis at Roland Garros increases his chances of doing well at Wimbledon. He got the pacing of a Grand Slam event.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is not five months in between where he has to pace himself and first round losses, even though it does nothing for me. It is coming quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n

The short turnaround between the French Open<\/a> and Wimbledon is well documented.<\/p>\n

The clay court major has yet to end but some players have already begun training on grass before the tournaments commence on the surface from next week. Djokovic tends not to play a singles warm-up tournament on grass before Wimbledon.<\/p>\n

The last time he did so was back in 2018 when he reached the final of Queen\u2019s and lost to Marin Cilic. However he did compete at the Mallorca Championships in 2021, but only played doubles alongside Carlos G\u00f3mez-Herrera.<\/p>\n

Following his French Open exit on Friday night, Djokovic vowed to be ready for what would be his 20th appearance at Wimbledon in three weeks time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWimbledon and the US Open, yes, they are in plans. That\u2019s all I can say right now. I feel like I want to play those two, for sure. For the rest, I\u2019m not so sure,\u201d Djokovic told reporters on Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWimbledon is my childhood favourite tournament. I\u2019m going to do everything possible to get myself ready.
