The Challenge Cup Final has been marred by accusations of spitting with a Warrington Wolves player making a formal allegation against Hull KR.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Approaching the hour mark with the score 6-2 to Warrington Wolves, Hull KR prop Sauaso Sue knocked the ball on in the tackle.<\/p>\n

Hull KR challenged the decision but were unsuccessful and whilst the TV cameras showed the replay angles, an incident between Sue and Wire winger Josh Thewlis happened.<\/p>\n

After confirmation that Hull KR were unsuccessful, referee Liam Moore could be heard asking a player if they wished to make an allegation.<\/p>\n

At that point, Moore brought forward the respective captains to confirm Thewlis\u2019 allegation.<\/p>\n

He told Elliot Minchella and George Williams: \u201cOk, Josh (Thewlis) wants to make an allegation of spitting so the incident will go on report and be reviewed at a later date. It\u2019s on report.\u201d<\/p>\n

Warrington Wolves man makes spitting allegations against Hull KR<\/p>\n

Replays would later show Hull KR forward Sue spitting in a downwards trajectory, though it was unclear if he was spitting towards the ground or towards the Warrington winger.<\/p>\n

BBC One commentator Matt Newsum assessed the incident, stating:\u00a0\u201cA sour note on what has otherwise been ferociously contested\u2026 That will be looked at by the Match Review Panel.<\/p>\n

\u201cSauaso Sue spits but I don\u2019t think he\u2019s actually aiming for him but it\u2019s definitely\u2026 or maybe he was. Either way, not the most pleasant moment in the game.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Match Review Panel will meet on Monday to discuss all disciplinary matters from the game and with this incident being placed on report, it will certainly be looked at.<\/p>\n

Thewlis had scored the only try of the game to that point earlier in the first-half after he capitalised on a deflected Marc Sneyd kick to send Wire into half-time 6-2 up.<\/p>\n

Currently, after 66 minutes, the score remains 6-2 with a crowd of over 63,000 in attendance at Wembley<\/a>.<\/p>\n
