{"id":167220,"date":"2025-06-08T09:16:26","date_gmt":"2025-06-08T09:16:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/167220\/"},"modified":"2025-06-08T09:16:26","modified_gmt":"2025-06-08T09:16:26","slug":"the-best-areas-for-families-to-buy-houses-in-bristol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/167220\/","title":{"rendered":"The best areas for families to buy houses in Bristol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There area a few options<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1_SB_BGS_86_Bristol_Balloon_Fiesta_2_07-08-23_02.jpg\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>View of Bristol&#8217;s Victoria Park from a hot air balloon(Image: BristolLive\/Ellie Kendall)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">More often that not, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/property-news\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">buying a house<\/a> is extremely stressful &#8211; especially so in a popular city like Bristol where house prices are high and so is demand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Location is always a key factor when deciding, particularly when you have children to think about as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A couple of years ago, we asked estate agents in the city <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/news\/property\/best-areas-families-buy-houses-7108688\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">which areas they would recommend for families<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">We have now asked them again and this is what we had back:<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Families love loads of parts of Bristol&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Nick Stopard, co-founder and managing director at Boardwalk, said: &#8220;We actually find that families love loads of parts of Bristol which offer different lifestyle choices \u2013 parks, restaurants, community events, cafes, good schools.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;It also depends on whether you\u2019re talking older families or younger families\u2026 And obviously different people will look for different things.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;However, we\u2019re finding that those green spaces, combined with good schools, are key so that\u2019s a really good place for us to come at it from.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Keeping this in mind, Mr Stopard said the top three areas for families in Bristol are Victoria Park in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/south-bristol\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">South Bristol<\/a>, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/westbury-on-trym\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Westbury Park<\/a> in North West Bristol and <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/st-george\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">St George<\/a>, in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/east-bristol\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">East Bristol<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">He said those three areas are all quite different and have their own character, but have a few things in common.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;They all have great parks and green spaces,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Not just one park but a choice.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Victoria Park is also not far from Perretts Park and Redcatch Park, Westbury Park has the Downs and <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/redland\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Redland<\/a> Green, St George has St Georges Park and Conham River Park and the river walks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;They all have very well regarded primary schools, especially the first two, with schools by those names. They all have great restaurants, cafes and pubs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">He said another thing those areas have in common is that they have a &#8220;good housing stock of lovely, largely Victorian or Edwardian homes, with lots of character&#8221;, among others.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Bethany Burrows, at Bristol Property Centre, on Chandos Road, said Cliftonwood, Westbury-on-Trym and <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/horfield\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Horfield<\/a> are the top three best family areas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Cliftonwood offers lots of trendy shops and boutiques but also has a good range of schools in the area as well as beautiful views,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;It has easy access links to the harbour and is cheaper to buy than in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/clifton\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Clifton<\/a> itself.
