And that\u2019s before we even get started on the medical<\/a>, historical<\/a>, and technological<\/a> mistakes films routinely make for the sake of a great scene.<\/p>\n

But a post shared to Reddit\u2019s r\/movies<\/a> proves that not every apparent exaggeration is as inaccurate as it seems. <\/p>\n

Writing to the forum, site user u\/diapersareforgods<\/a> asked: \u201cAre there any moments in movies that people often call out as \u2018Hollywood exaggeration\u2019 or \u2018totally unrealistic,\u2019 but you\u2019ve lived through something just like it?\u201d <\/p>\n

Here are some of the most-upvoted responses: <\/p>\n

1) \u201cI saw someone on Twitter [now X] griping about how, in movies, support groups will just let the main character monologue at length about their issues without interruption, even when they\u2019re surly or antagonistic.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s 100% how it works, or at least it was when I went to support groups (mainly bereavement ones when my mother died). Unless you\u2019re going on way too long or attacking other group members, you get to let out all your feelings without interruption, even the ugly\/angry ones. Everyone gets a turn to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n
