With Leeds United now expected to make a number of new signings this summer, the club will also have to sell players in order to comply with PSR and make room for new arrivals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds have a transfer budget of \u00a3150m<\/a> and have prioritised four new signings. A new goalkeeper, a centre-back, a midfielder and a striker \u2013 with strength in depth also required at Elland Road<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n

With so many new arrivals expected, Leeds will have to get rid of some fringe players this summer. Manor Solomon and Joe Rothwell have returned to their parent clubs, while three players will see their deals end.<\/p>\n

Junior Firpo is in talks with Lyon and AC Milan<\/a>, while Sam Byram is also expected to leave Leeds<\/a>. Josuha Guilavogui has already been confirmed as departing on a free and now \u2013 Max Wober<\/a> is expected to go.<\/p>\n

Back in February, it was reported that Leeds wanted to upgrade Wober<\/a>. The Austria defender has endured a dismal 2024-25 campaign, managing just nine appearances and undergoing two knee operations.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Wober starred for Austria as he started in a 2-1 win over Romania in World Cup qualifying. Austrian media said Wober was his side\u2019s \u201cbest\u201d player, earning a Grade 1 \u2013 the best of five ratings.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Austrian outlet Krone<\/a> after the match, Wober said: \u201cLeeds has already made it clear to me that they want to sell me. I might have been able to send out a letter of application [with his display].<\/p>\n

\u201cI was extremely pleased that I was able to show other clubs that I\u2019m fit, that I\u2019m still a really good player, and that I don\u2019t want to just rot away in England,\u201d Wober continued, discussing his future at Leeds.<\/p>\n

Back in 2023, Leeds paid a \u00a310m<\/a> fee to sign Wober from Salzburg. A move that saw Leeds reunite Jesse Marsch with Wober after the duo\u2019s time together in Austria. Now, Leeds are willing to sell Wober for \u00a35m<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wober has managed just 29 appearances for Leeds in two and a half years. Relegated in his first half-year, Wober was then one of eight players to anger Leeds fans and jump ship by going on loan to Gladbach.<\/p>\n

Returning to Leeds last summer despite criticism because of the loan, Wober has only played nine times and it comes as no surprise to see Wober told he needs to leave.
