Trai Hume picked up his 19th cap in Northern Ireland\u2019s 2-1 defeat to Denmark on Saturday evening.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Sunderland right-back has been identified by Everton<\/a> as David Moyes<\/a> looks to recruit Seamus Coleman\u2019s successor.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s understood Moyes is considering a \u00a320m move for Hume<\/a>, who was a standout performer in the Championship last term.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old registered nine goal involvements from right-back, helping the Black Cats gain promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.<\/p>\n

Hume played the full 90 minutes against Denmark last night, and here\u2019s how Northern Ireland\u2019s national media reacted to his performance.<\/p>\n

Hume actually played as a centre-back in Copenhagen, lining up in a back-three alongside Sunderland teammate Dan Ballard and Norwich City\u2019s Ruairi McConville.<\/p>\n

Clearly, Hume impressed despite being on the wrong end of the scoreline, and Moyes will certainly be pleased with his show of versatility.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Hume has admitted he wants to stay at Sunderland<\/p>\n

Amid the links to Everton in recent weeks, Hume did come out and admit he wants to stay at Sunderland<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve said it ever since I moved to Sunderland, I really love my football here,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love playing. I love the club, I\u2019m happy where I\u2019m at, if anything happens it\u2019s from the club. I love playing for Sunderland so I\u2019m happy being there.\u201d<\/p>\n

But, interestingly, Hume appeared to suggest that if he does depart, it will be Sunderland\u2019s decision, so the door remains ajar for Everton.<\/p>\n

Moyes has also explored a deal to sign Kyle Walker-Peters<\/a> and Tariq Lamptey, who are set to become free agents next month.<\/p>\n
