Iconic funnyman Craig Cash made his mark on British TV as an actor and comedian during the 90s after a successful stint as a music radio DJ on Manchester\u2019s KFM. Although he had already risen to prominence, Craig\u2019s hilarious role in the BBC<\/a> hit sitcom, The Royle Family, propelled him into stardom with the show\u2019s portrayal of a working-class family from Manchester.<\/p>\n

The series was created by Caroline Aherne and Craig starred as Denise Royle and her dim-witted boyfriend Dave Best. It featured family patriarch Jim Royle (played by Ricky Tomlinson), his wife Barbara (Sue Johnston), their daughter Denise, their son Antony (Ralf Little), and Denise\u2019s boyfriend-turned-husband, Dave (Craig). Throughout The Royle Family\u2019s three seasons on the BBC<\/a>, Craig had a real-life relative star alongside him as his son landed a role.<\/p>\n

Craig\u2019s real-life son, Harry Cash, portrayed his character\u2019s son, David, who was fathered by Dave with Denise and appeared during the 2006 episode Queen of Sheba.<\/p>\n

Although The Royle Family was cancelled in 2000, this episode is marked as the first of its specials, which ran from 2006 until 2012.<\/p>\n

Cash made his TV debut alongside his father in the scene which saw Dave, Denise, and David arrive at the beloved house and Denise announcing her pregnancy just moments later.<\/p>\n

While he was a hit with fans, Cash\u2019s IMDb page reveals he didn\u2019t return to acting or pursue any other on-screen projects.<\/p>\n

Although he does have social media, the actor prefers to keep a low profile and keeps his Instagram<\/a> account private. However, he is pictured regularly on his brother Billy\u2019s page, with the most recent being a seemingly fun-filled trip to Nashville with their pals.<\/p>\n

The little David star was also photographed at his graduation alongside his family, including his mother Stephanie Davies, who beamed with pride during the 2019 celebration.<\/p>\n

For his work on The Royle Family, Craig won two BAFTA Television Awards for Best Situation Comedy in 2000 and 2007.<\/p>\n
