In fact, his agent was recently in Barcelona, as the Catalan side continues to pursue him.

Marcus Rashford wants to play for Barcelona. (Photo by Carl Recine/Getty Images)

With the option of a loan on the table, United believe the arrangement would help ease the financial burden by saving on his salary, while still providing a route for him to join Barcelona.

Rashford eager to play for Barcelona

Rashford himself has indicated to Barcelona that he is prepared to reduce his salary in order to secure a move, a gesture that has certainly caught the attention of the Blaugrana.

However, despite this interest, Barcelona currently rank Luis Diaz from Liverpool as their main candidate for the forward role.

The scenario remains fluid as Manchester United and Barcelona continue to negotiate. The English player is expected to wait throughout June while Barcelona evaluate whether they can secure Diaz under acceptable financial conditions.

If the deal for Diaz does not work out, Rashford’s candidacy might become much more attractive, potentially netting a significant fee.

Meanwhile, it must also be noted that Rashford has also received loan offers from other clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Inter Milan, and AC Milan. Hence, if Barcelona are indeed serious, they need to act fast.

According to a recent update from SPORT, Manchester United are now considering a new approach to deal with…

[4100
199,11680,6537,94,103,79,16,15
0":"post-168336","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-football","8":"tag-barcelona","9":"tag-barcelona-news","10":"tag-fc-barcelona","11":"tag-football","12":"tag-marcus-rashford","13":"tag-sports","14":"tag-uk","15":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
