It appears as though Prince William and Kate Middleton have opposing views on which school their eldest child, Prince George, should enroll in next.<\/p>\n

The future king, 11, kickstarted the hunt for his next school earlier this year and has reportedly paid a visit to several renowned schools in and around London.<\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales, 43,\u00a0recently joined her eldest on a tour<\/a> of her old school, Marlborough College, in Wiltshire.<\/p>\n

George also toured Eton College \u2014 William and his estranged brother Prince Harry\u2019s former school, which has long been a popular choice among royals, politicians and aristocrats.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the talk of the school, and of the parents,\u201d a royal insider told the Daily Mail<\/a>. The outlet adds that the decision has become a \u201creal dilemma\u201d for the Waleses.<\/p>\n

The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.<\/p>\n

While William is reportedly keen for George, who turns 12 in July, to follow in his footsteps by attending the $82,000-per-year college, it appears as though Princess Catherine has other ideas.<\/p>\n

William, the heir to the throne, had a great experience at the school, but Harry, 40, detailed a completely different experience in his bombshell 2023 memoir, \u201cSpare.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former working royal, who now lives in Montecito, Calif., with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, admitted he struggled with poor grades at the school.<\/p>\n

His disappointing academic experience prompted him to skip university and head straight to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex wrote that Eton was \u201cheaven for brilliant boys, it could thus only be purgatory for one very unbrilliant boy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eton College is located a short stroll away from William, 42, and Kate\u2019s family home at\u00a0Adelaide\u00a0Cottage in Windsor Home Park.<\/p>\n

Still, despite William\u2019s rumored desire for George to become an Eton boy, the school\u2019s provost has said he will not be bending the rules for anyone \u2014 even the royals.<\/p>\n

\u201cI find myself receiving a torrent of letters and emails from friends of friends, hinting that they hope I can help them secure a place for their sons or grandsons,\u201d Sir Nicholas Coleridge wrote in the Spectator<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a rigorous admissions system here, run with integrity, and it is awkward when the prospective boy hasn\u2019t caught the selector\u2019s eye.\u201d<\/p>\n

The young royal has also toured two other schools in North London, including Highgate School.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s reported that the school\u2019s \u201cworld class\u201d theater department attracted the Princess of Wales to the school, but its 30-mile distance from Windsor could be seen as problematic for the family.<\/p>\n
