A missing schoolgirl who could have travelled nearly 300-miles to Birmingham<\/a> has been found.<\/p>\n

Ava Stewart, 13, from Kilmarnock, in Scotland, was last seen boarding a train<\/a> at Glasgow Central Station,<\/a> at around 1.35pm on Friday, June 6.<\/p>\n

It prompted a social media campaign to find her along with a police appeal.<\/p>\n

But police said this afternoon, Sunday, June 7, that she had been found safe and well.<\/p>\n

In an update, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Ava Stewart, 13, who had been missing from Kilmarnock, has been traced.<\/p>\n

“Thank you very much for sharing our appeal.”<\/p>\n
