Liverpool are moving quickly this summer as they look to strengthen Arne Slot\u2019s Premier League-winning squad. The Reds have already signed two players in Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pecsi, while Giorgi Mamardashvili will also join the club after a \u00a329m deal was agreed with Valencia last year.<\/p>\n
Talks are ongoing with Bayer Leverkusen over a club-record deal for Florian Wirtz, while Liverpool<\/a> are also ramping up their efforts to sign Milos Kerkez from AFC Bournemouth. However, they currently have no intention of opening negotiations over a new contract with the forward, who has admitted he is in talks with other clubs. <\/a>It remains to be seen whether their transfer resolve will be tested again.<\/p>\n Federico Chiesa says he would be open to staying put at Anfield<\/a> despite being limited to a fringe role this season, a return to Italy also interests him.<\/a><\/p>\n Likewise, Harvey Elliott has claimed more than once that he might have to consider his options<\/a> but Wataru Endo has insisted he will be with the club next season.<\/a><\/p>\n While Andy Robertson previously hinted he too might have to weigh up his options<\/a> as Liverpool look to sign a new left-back, he has recently suggested he intends to at least see out his contract. <\/a>And Alisson Becker expects the club to activate the year option on his current deal.<\/a><\/p>\n Ibrahima Konate is entering the final year of his own terms and is attracting interest, but recently branded social media speculation around his contract negotiations with Liverpool as “completely fake”.<\/a><\/p>\n Elsewhere, Alexis Mac Allister has dismissed suggestions that he might leave the club<\/a> while Cody Gakpo has side-stepped questions about reported interest from Bayern Munich.<\/a><\/p>\n Beyond the players who have spoken publicly about their futures, Vitezslav Jaros, Joe Gomez, Kostas Tsimikas, Jarell Quansah, Tyler Morton, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota have also been linked with moves away.<\/p>\n The future of returning loanees like Ben Doak is also uncertain, while the likes of Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams are expected to depart.<\/p>\n Evidently, there is set to be plenty more transfer action at Anfield<\/a> in the weeks and months ahead before the summer window closes once and for all at 11pm on Monday 1 September.<\/p>\n And not just because, before even signing Wirtz and Kerkez, Liverpool already employ 32 senior players over the age of 21 on their books but are limited to a maximum squad of 25 for Premier League<\/a> and Champions League<\/a> action.<\/p>\n
