Mike has maintained strict adherence to plant-based eating since making the switch.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I haven&#8217;t had any fish or meat in 30, 31 years. No animal protein, just vegetable protein,&#8221; he explained.<\/p>\n<p>The centenarian&#8217;s conviction about the link between his former diet and his cancer diagnosis became the catalyst for what he considers a life-saving change.<\/p>\n<p>Mike advocates for specific plant-based protein sources to maintain optimal health and athletic performance.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Broccoli is terrific protein, by the way.
