{"id":170602,"date":"2025-06-09T15:44:09","date_gmt":"2025-06-09T15:44:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/170602\/"},"modified":"2025-06-09T15:44:09","modified_gmt":"2025-06-09T15:44:09","slug":"prince-andrew-believes-frogmore-cottage-is-not-grand-enough-for-him","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/170602\/","title":{"rendered":"Prince Andrew believes Frogmore Cottage is \u2018not grand enough&#8217; for him"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>    <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/608378_4321010_updates.jpg\" alt=\"Prince Harry, Meghan Markle\u2019s former home \u2018not grand enough\u2019 for Prince Andrew\" width=\"700\" height=\"400\" class=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Prince Harry, Meghan Markle\u2019s former home \u2018not grand enough\u2019 for Prince Andrew<\/p>\n<p>Prince Andrew does not find Prince Harry and Meghan Markle\u2019s former residence, the Frogmore Cottage, \u201cgrand enough\u201d for a Prince to live.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cdisgraced\u201d Duke of  York has reportedly refused to move out of the Royal Lodge into the Frogmore Cottage despite King Charles\u2019 calls. <\/p>\n<p>As per GB News, Andrew would not leave the Royal Lodge even though it reported that  he is paying his own cheaper security team after Charles cut off his $1.3 Million allowance.<\/p>\n<p>Reports claim that the Duke has even agreed to cover the property\u2019s maintenance costs out of his own pocket.<\/p>\n<p>Revealing the reason why Andrew would not move to Frogmore Cottage, property buying agent Robin Edwards said that he does not think the cottage is \u201cgrand enough\u201d for him.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cHe (Andrew) has refused to leave his lavish mansion and move to the significantly smaller Frogmore Cottage, believing it to be not grand enough for him,\u201d Edwards said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven back in September 2002 that (maintenance work) was very conservatively estimated at at least \u00a37.5 million excluding tax.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe costs are likely to have grown significantly since then with time and inflation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Royal author Robert Hardman revealed in his book Charles III: New King. New Court.
