In a Reddit<\/a> post, the anonymous woman writes that she and her partner have been together for a few years but aren’t yet married.<\/p>\n “I understand that when you marry someone you\u2019re marrying into their family but my partner is a great person despite his mother,” she writes.<\/p>\n Despite her reassurances, the Reddit user claims her mother-in-law crosses so many boundaries that the woman says she’s worried about having children, writing, “what if they inherit her personality???”<\/p>\n She continues her post by detailing the things about her mother-in-law that make her most nervous. Among them is that she is “a time hog” and schedules video calls with her partner every weekend. She is also “rude and gives unsolicited advice a lot.”<\/p>\n “She thinks she\u2019s the expert on EVERYTHING. In the past she\u2019s even made comments trying to pitch my partner against me and make me seem like I\u2019m the bad guy when I didn\u2019t do anything malicious,” she adds.<\/p>\n She continues: “I just know she\u2019s going to fill my house with ‘gifts’ for the kids (aka garbage) and dictate how I set up my child\u2019s nursery. She\u2019s obsessed with getting free things off Facebook and always tries to give my partner things.”<\/p>\n “I have anxiety issues in general and overthink a lot so maybe these things won\u2019t even happen. I\u2019m just annoyed because I don\u2019t want to miss out on parenthood because of this nut,” she writes in the post’s conclusion.<\/p>\n
