\t\tA team from Liverpool furnishing solutions company Furnish That Room (FTR) has completed a 20km walk along the Wirral coast in support of Parkinson\u2019s UK.<\/p>\n
FTR raised more than \u00a35,500 for the national charity, which offers support to people affected by Parkinson\u2019s. It also funds research to better understand the condition, improve treatments and ultimately work towards a cure.<\/p>\n
Fran Guinan, managing director of FTR, says: \u201cA huge thank you to everyone who donated and helped us reach our fundraising goal \u2013 and, of course, a special thanks to those who made the effort to complete the 20km walk.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were very lucky with the weather and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. We had a fantastic group and shared plenty of laughs along the way. Treatment for Parkinson\u2019s has advanced significantly over the past 30 years, and many people are now benefiting from new therapies.<\/p>\n
These improvements are the result of tireless research and testing, which requires substantial funding. We\u2019re proud to have contributed a little towards that effort.\u201d<\/p>\n
Established in 2004, FTR provides furniture packages, lighting, white goods, beds and more to a range of clients, including property developers, landlords, estate agents, and serviced accommodation companies.<\/p>\n
The Hunts Cross-headquartered firm has worked on some of Liverpool\u2019s most high-profile apartment developments including Parliament Square in the Baltic Triangle and The Keel, the UK\u2019s first privately funded Build To Rent scheme.<\/p>\n
FTR is the official sponsor of the drinks reception at the YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards 2025.
